    MADEVADIGAL need NOT be a CONVERSION to JAINISM as popularly
    believed or speculated.

    It could have been adopting sainthood in Saivism itself … !

    There is evidence in PS itself!!

    In Part I, Chapter 55 – ‘Nandhiniyin Kadhalan’, AK narrates to
    Parthibendran his first meeting with Nandhini. AK, Kundavai & AMV go
    to meet Sembiyanmadevi and they find a couple and a small girl, which
    is, Nandhini.

    AK says, “andhap pennai patri avargal edho madevdigalidam sollik
    kondirunthargal”. Throughout that chapter, he refers to Sembiyanmadevi
    as ‘Madevadigal’.
