    Dear Friends,

    We are having very good Writers among us.

    Now we realise we have very good PHOTOGRAPHERS among us.

    And Blog Writers too among us.

    We can institute an ANNUAL AWARD - say for TOP 3 positions -

    RE PHOTOGRAPHY and

    FOR BLOGS .. too.

    Vijay has special way of mixing blog and photography too !!

    Katherine - Plastic Chandra - Banglore Ganeshkumar likewise we have very good talents in our Group.

    We can form a 3 member Panel - 2 outsiders - Photography speicialists and one from our Group to select.

    The function can be around Aadiperukku or 9th Sept - coinciding with kalki's Birthday !

    Pls share your views.

    Suggest to make this into two :

    (1) three persons - One member of the Year -
    with certain previleges.

    (2) three mails - Cash award. Say Rs. 1000. 750. 500.

    - to be selected by members rating.

    one name : member (not necessarily a moderator -
    qualified to have a say on photography)

    Why restrict to photos - why not include heritage / kalki/ history related
    sketches as well. that way more members can participate.

    Dear Thiru,

    We can include in the home page the fact that we will be announcing annual awards to be presented in a function on or around 9th Sept, every year coinciding with Amarar Kalki's Birthday for the best contributors to be selected to certain cateogies by a panel of judges.

    This need to be refined before incorporation.

    Categories are ::

    1. photo - Culture - History - Literature related. (one from each category ?)

    2. Blog - do -

    likewise other items too.

    Need to formulate guidelines for best contribution of mails /
    content on postings.

    In the meanwhile let us do some housekeeping re archiving.

    will get volunteers to handles this.
