• Hi,

Like many I have been a silent spectator in this group. I need a small help from you ppl....

Actually I have been trying to get a copy of NANTHIPURATHU NAYAKI &
have been unable to do so. If u have a copy, is it possible for you to
send me the publishers name, address & phone no. So that I can contact
    them & get the same.

It would be a big help on your part, if you can help me with this. I
have been breaking my head to read the continuation of PONNIYIN SELVAN
    for a while.

    Thanks for your help

  • Dear Freind
The only advice I can give you is dont do that because vikraman really tarnished all the PS charecters and it really doesnt add much

I seem to be remember something along the lines of AK journeying to
the Sri Vijaya lands (am I right?)...and falling in love with some
dancer (urk!). And she seemed to want to dance all the time for him...

But yeah, I was pretty disappointed. AK seemed a different person,
    totally.
  • its actually Arulmozhi who travels...Vanathi acts like a mad woman Kundavai is potrayed as a scheming lady who seperates arulmozhi and the dancing girl...
Vandhiyadevan still languishes in the prison....

  • Hello All,

After reading Ponniyin Selvan at the end I thought
there were so many many loose ends in the novel.

When I heard about "NANTHIPURATHU NAYAKI" which was
supposed to be a sort of continuation of PS, I jumped
    at it.

    Boy, what a disappointment !!

I am not saying that one should not read
"NANTHIPURATHU NAYAKI", please read but with no great
    expectation.

I felt so bad, the way my hero Vanthia Thevan was
    pictured in this novel.

It is in no way a fitting continuation of PS.
  • Dear all,

I have a request to ask all of you,

Thanks to Mr Gokul, I got to know that ponniyin selvan
was staged by the Magic lantern and I was wondering if
any of you had any means of contacting the company or
its writer. This would be a great help to us in
staging the play here in the States. As all of you are
aware it is going to be a mammoth task to write the
book into a play form and none of us being pros..(all
of us just share a common interest in PS and the fact
that it would be a good play to present for an
    international audience!!!)

    Thanks in advance!!
