• Dear PS group members,

I have a request to you to clarify me and furnish the details on a Philosophical song sung by TM Soundararajan(probably written by Arunagirinadhar / Pattinathaar/ 18 siththars)

These are not the exact lyrics. I need the beginning of the song and possibly a link to download the song, if available on the internet. It describes the journey of a man from his mother's womb till his death and conveys the utter meaninglessness of human cravings.

    The lines go as.....

    onbadhum ondrum niraindhu madandhai
ugaram agandru, puviyil vizhundhu, yogamum aagamum naalum arindhu,.....

    manadhu poraamal, avar piragodi,
thediya maamudhal sera vazhangi, valamaiyum maari,.......

    Govindhan Pillai Santhanakrishnan
  • the utter meaninglessness of human
    cravings....

the three demons of tibeten philosophy.anger, craving and delusion.

  • dear pillai sir, i do not have answer to ur question, but i have watched this song in makkal TV's thirumurai program that is broadcasted at 6 morning and evening....this is one of my favourite too..
this is pattinatthaar paadal as per makkal TV.

a very beautiful song that portrays the uniqueness and maturity of tamilar chinthanai .....
when we hear such a song we feel that all of our burden disappears all at once .....
  • dear skp
    i am having arunagirinathar cd/cassatte.
this song duration is 9 minute.
the same song we played , during my fathers departrure to the other
    world.
strongly objected by rest of the family for playing cassatte in a
    mourning house.

but my mother and our request for playing the cassatte (my father
    collections)through out the night.

thanks for remembering the days of 23.12.1986.
