  • Dear Dhiwaker

manika vasagar is one big enigma.
we dont know when he lived
to my knowledge he hasnt mentioned the others
and then the others havent mentioned him

why he was left out only emberumaan knows.
till we get his era right, we will still be in the dark

i read a book on islam written by a local scholar. in that he claims
since god came as an arab horsetrader , there must be a connection
    between islam and manickavasagar.
  • appo avarai enna kanakkula " naalu perla saerthaanga????

orey bejaara irukuppa... idhukku dhaan pesaama cinema, entertainment nnu jollyaa irundhudanum...

velaikku ponomaa.. panam saerthomaaa.... naalu company aaramichomaannu irukkanum
  • Dear Dhiwaker
i will surely try to find out who classified the samaya kuravars as
one entity. that should give one clue.
manicka vasagar must have been around when there were buddhists to be
his rivals and the pandyan king as the ruler.
  • Dear Venkatesh,

"ulagelaam unarndhu odharku ariyavan.." ungalukku vazhikaattuvaaraagha... why do you say that budhdhist might be his rivals?? any mention of budhdhists in his life????

    amen!amen!amen!
  • Dear Dhiwaker

manikavasakar defeats the budhists in debates, just as sambandar does
    to the jains.

also he makes the dumb daughter of the sinhala king speak, in
    chidambaram temple itself.

buddhism seems to have been a major influence in the tamil speaking
    areas during his time.
