fiends, i went through the various articles in the net. it appears the stupa at sannati( gulbarga-k'nataka) seems to be a great one. it is 400-400 ft square structure with a large garden sorrounding it. it had been converted to a kali temple but in 1986 a renovation work has brought the vihara to light. it appears larger than sanchi stupa. most important of all is for the first time we see emperor asok's image. we see 3 artifacts with his full size image. this is wonderful. the ASI plans to do something to renovate it. hope there shall be some progress. gandhi
