*LECTURE Three-day series “An Introduction to Buddhism”*
The Ven. Samdhong Rinpoche, under the Maitrim Poshas Trust, will conduct a series of three lectures “An Introduction To Buddhism”. The lectures are said to draw directly from the original vachanas of the Buddha, which have been recorded in various seminal works.
The Venerable Samdhong Rinpoche is a renowned scholar and philosopher. He has worked to preserve Tibetan cultural heritage and to re-establish a non-violent society. He is one of the world's leading scholars of Tibetan Buddhism.
In addition to his inherited tradition of the Buddhist dharma, the primary influences on his life are said to be the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and J. Krishnamurti. He is the founder and chairperson of the Maitrim Poshas Trust, whose vision is to spread ahimsa.
