Mahua - next in the series of Mattamayura sites
  • Hi Friends,
Mahua is a small village in western MP which is associated with Shiva
Siddhantika people. It lies in close proximity of Surwaya, Terahi, Ranod,
Kadwaha, all sites associated with the Mattamayura sect. There are three
temples of considerable antiquity, the earliest one belonging to the
    seventh century CE.
I would recommend you all to views a very fine Chamunda statue which would
    be interesting for iconography enthusiasts.
