In Lord Brahadeeshwara Swami temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Annabhisekam is the main ritual during Aippasi month. It is performed once a year. On previous day of Annabhishekam, Maha Abhishekam is performed. The festival is organized mainly under Kanchi Kamakodi Peetam. Thousands of devotees participate in the festival. Aippasi month is one of the auspicious Tamil months. Annabhishekam is performed at Lord Siva temples in the month of Aippasi on the Full Moon day.
