Thiruvalansuzhi Vellai (White) Vinayagar Temple which is located in the village of Thiruvalanjuli which is 6 kms from Kumbakonam. The Temple is more famous for the white Vinayagar idol that is believed to be made from white Sea foam. No abhisheka or pushpa are performed here. The only offering is Pacha-Karpooram which is sprinkled over the idol of the Vinayagar. This alone is the main offering by the devotees to the temple. Due to the Vinnayaga Chadurthi Festival the Thirukkalyanam (Holy Marriage) were performed here to the Vinayagar (Ganapathy) with his wife Vani and Kamali.
