This is an exceptional poem in PuRam referring to vishnu as " NediyOn".
We later find in "Paripaadal" anthology poems with deities Siva, Thirumal (vishnu) and Murugan. The poems are all sung in the ambience of river Vaigai and town Madurai of Pandyas. The style of the poems suggest very late period of Sangam or before Evidently Vaishnavite culture is yet take its range among Tamil religious movements. Sangam literature does not throw up any picture of conflict.
