Can the elite in the group tell us more about Kamarajar...
As we say, Ram Rajya, in TN, people say we will bring Kamarajar aatchi. but no one could bring that back.
I think it was he who brought 'Uniform' to schools to eliminate children of rich family posing with costly clothes while the poor children dont have even a proper dress. mid day meals...uniform...bringing education to the masses. A real noble gestures. Also, I think he is the real king maker. Making Indira the PM, when he was offered the post. He refused it because he felt he is not that qualified and he doesnt know Hindi. Is this true?
Please share the noble gestures of Kamarajar so that people like me can benefit.
When we talk GOOD of someone, it is fine to publicise.
When we do NOT DO SO, it is unwise to go public - since the informations we post is widely seen through out the web-world.
Another thing is careful usage of diction: feminist - avoidable.
Re Mrs.Indira Gandhi's respect, Kamarj was the one not touched during the EMERGENCY period - inspite of him opposed it.
Kamaraj is known for Simplicity, providing education inspite (as) of him being under-educated. apart from education, he gave food to school going children - a pioneer scheme in our Nation
Let us keep this discussion also simple and motivating - befitting Him.
But if that is the case "*Indira Gandhi had high regards for Kamaraj*"was also not necessary in that place when there are so many things to his credit.
1. Why only Indira Gandhi The first Prime Minister of India Pandit Nehru also had high regards for Mr.Kamaraj. 2. Mr.Kamaraj was instrumental in electing Lal Bahadur Shastriji as PM when Pandit Nehru died. 3. Mr.Kamaraj had the guts to say that people above 50 should resign from from ministry and look into Party work to strengthen the party. He resigned his CM post for that - Kamaraj Plan. 4. Rural electrification in Tamil Nadu - Thanks to Mr.Kamaraj 5. BHEL in Trichy, credit should go to R.Venkatraman but when the committee was looking for suitable land they couldnt find one. Mr.Kamaraj suggested them to have a look at Tiruvarembur and beyond
