"மிளிர் கொன்றை அணிந்தவனே"
szriram
August 2008
Hi all,
when i read this line "மிளிர் கொன்றை அணிந்தவனே" it takes me somewhere!
I am a slave to Tamizh!
மிளிர்=bright/shiney
கொன்றை=moon
அணிந்தவனே=who wears
P.S: this is a simple phrase, but how our Naayanmaars have praised the God! This shows that even with simple words we can make the god listen to us)

Hi Sriram, Siva also adorns his head with flower called 'kondrai' - also called Cassia/Chinese lantern in English. Commercially also known as 'naagalinga poo', very fragrant and beautiful.
Yes it also means the moon and yes I love tamil
