I dont know why some didnt like this movie. Its really a milestone in Indian cinema. No one ever dared to attempt it so far. As said, its only because of Kamal..if anyother, it would have been considered a good film. The story and script are of international standards. We should surely applaud Kamal for it.
Doing 10 roles, though not needed, is still a daring attempt. All 10 characters beautifully merged towards the end is the masterpiece of Kamals script.
As Ravi said, comparing with Sivaji, this one is no lesser. Sivaji was grand, this is awesome. Sivaji is frame by frame Rajni, this is frame by frame kamal including his script, which is a + compared to Sivaji. Its not fair to say this movie is junk.
I commented on the make up and graphics only for one reason - the hype was too much and people said its of hollywood standard. If they had said its the best so far done in Indian cinema, i would have never commented. Telling that its of international standard and when not met, i was a bit disappointed. Otherwise, surley the make up and graphics are mind boggling.
Kamal always lacked luck. None of his attempts are given their due credits. But one flaw in the script - why 12th century story without any relevance?

I am able to relate the 12th century story to the end, only puzzle was the 130 cr... (*^$*#$@#@) ivalo panam oru padathukku thevaya ? are there not other good things to do with that money? I dont believe it is necessary to spend so much money for a movie unless you have the film single handedly changes the mind set or political scenario of a country. I think there needs to be more responsiblity shown with directing these movies.
Did Aascar (numerogy ...i think) pay for 10 kamals or one ?
