I was looking for Kovi Manisekaran's novel online in reference to Pavithra's post on Maravarman Sundara Pandiyan. I accidentally ran into this wonderful blog on old tamil movie song anecdotes. I have no idea if the Manisekaran here is Kovi or not, but the blog is awesome.

Talking of different tyes of song, I am intrigued by the Amaravathi - Kulothunga episode. Those 99 songs had not got any words or inclination to any erotic verses - according to legend, but was it true? Are these songs documented ?
For some reason my logic in brain says that whole story is somewhat tampered. Any one has historic data pertaining to the trio - K-III , Kamban , Ambikapathi?
