Does anyone know if PS is available with original pictures by Maniam or even the reprint with his son Ma Se? I felt very let down reading the version without pictures. Some people read it in English..not sure how. But anyway.
Also the nice picture on the group site of Amarar Kalki with novel characters, is that available in bigger size? Who is the person standing to the left of Kundavai/author? I am confused if it is false Madhurantakan/Kanda Maaran or who?
It seems that the pictures (maniam and ma se) are copyrighted by them, so you can't publish them without their permission. There are discussion about this earlier on making it as ebook, no results so far. The only way is get it from lending library with weekly extract binded together.
I have no plans of publishing them, only want to read. Does anyone have a readable book I can purchase, perhaps?
It is sad to see the treasured old books dying away withe pictures. In my home I have a bound copy of Thyaga Bhoomi, complete with pictures from the original movie. The book is slowly falling to tatters since those days paper had acid and withers away. This time I could scan some of it and did not have time to scan completely.

It is a tedious task, unless you have ADF (Auto Document Feeder) scanner or All-In-One, think of scanning all those pages front and back and converting to readable format.
Thanks Thiru. I read the thread. Sad really. I wonder what Maniam family is doing by preserving copyright, unless they have it scanned or preserved somehow. Old paper contains acid and will rarely last more than 50-60 years no matter how well preserved.
It is undoubtedly tedious but very possible. In US it is possible although expensive to even get professional help for scanning old books and documents.
