dear members, I want to express my fear in this forum regarding the change into tamil. I totally agree with sridar that some people cannot have tamil font in their computer. Secondly, few people may start to put their own creations like poems, Stories etc. sofar we have kept this for historyyes this includes history of literature. We have to keep this present status. While agreeing tamil, please put some restrictions .we had experiences to regulate the emotional outbursts and tanglish. We are learning thro out our life. But we should not allow repetition . i hope that sps, sridar and venkat can understand the inner depath of my statement. Thanking you seethaalakshmi
I think I agree with our senior most member seethalakshmi madam. a rather rough change now could cause turmoil. some cant read, some cant reply because of their computer conditions. i initially thought of link in our home page like the one we give varalaaru.com mentioning wholly tamil messages will be posted in a google adress. we could see the response. of course when there is a good discussion in the tamil google site we could give a hint in the messages of ps group so people can follow the link and read it.
nothing against the tamil fervour, but feel it kind of breaks the chain of thought and sequencing which is so unique to our group. most of us dont have the luxury of installing fonts to even view let along reply back in tamil and this could lead to a number of discussions moving out tangetially / getting truncated half way - switching between two databases yahoo/google is also a pain for above reason. personally i find the current modus user friendly and more generic and would vote to let it be that way. More so since we are a close group with not much moderation involved, a bi lingual forum or a two databse version would put addnl pressure on our already taxed core....
Welcome back madam after a long hiatus...I'am sure all the young and new members of the forum will understand that your statement is in the best interest of the group
