I was just going through the Sarasvati Mahal things..
What is surprising is that these museums dont sell replicas or collectibles. I have visited museums and science parks abroad and they sell replicas and collectibles. The money made can be used for preservation and other purposes. I will also generate rural employment and tourism.
If this Mahal makes a replica of a palm leaf Ramayan, every home will buy one!
Even the Britannica sells the replica of their first ever encyclopedia.
I agree. I hope good sense prevails and the unwieldy government machinery starts moving. Such an act will start a chain reaction - more awareness, more revenue and above all our past glory will see daylight. SM should get an enterprising head to initiate this action and see it through the hurdles. Sampath
