    I cant beleive whati have it in my hand right now. I am able
    to get 6 more papers ( Original conference proceedings). These are
    30 years-40 years old papers. All the papers are related to cholas,
    their aliances, marriages and the political reason behind them. More
    and more cross references can be obtained from each paper. But, this
    time i have them as a hard copy. I dont have any pdf version. It is
    more than 150 papges and so, krupa, it will very difficult to sit
    and type all these things...

    I can scan them and put them on the web. But the file size will be
    very big. Moreover, it will be a tedious process to scan them.

    Any suggestions.

    I can't believe what you've mentioned in your mail!.. It's really great!

    I volunteer myself for typing the text - you can give me the entire lot! I am fast at typing (both Englisth and Tamil) and hence please send those papers to me a.s.a.p.

    Looking forward to hear from you.

    If the paper is clean and text is legible, then OCR scanners can actually scan and create text documents instead of creating images. Either way, I can be of help and please let me do this.

    Dr.Jaybee avargalae... Is that Nobura karashima. In that case, i
    have that one too ...:)This one is from inscriptions between 950 AD
    to 1200 AD.

    Sorry for dragging this on and on. Right now, i will
    make a copy of all the papers and send one copy to ramacahandran
    (ramchi412@yahoo) , who is also in US and send another one to one of
    you in India. In the meanwhile, i 'll also scan the papers and fax
    it to krupa.

    Sundar...neenga than odd one out. I'll figure out someway to send it
    to you too. It is entirely upto you people to decide who is going to
    type.

    Also, Dr.Jaybee avargalae, The person u have mentioned, nobura
    Karashima, has published a book with all the collection of his
    papers and is titled " South Indian History and society - studies
    from Inscriptions AD 850-1800". The chapters include

    Land holdings in chola times
    Integration of society in chola times
    Revenue systems of cholas and Pandyas
    Social and administreative systems as revealed from personal names
    and designations.

    I 've this book from my school library. If you people cannot
    get this book in india, i can buy one here and send it to you.

    This book has some 50-60 References at the end of each
    chapter.


    And , about the Institute of asian studies, as mentioned by
    Dr.Jaybee, i have papers from that too. I'll send it to you ASAP.
