I am not an expert in this field but some things are well recorded. Susrusha was the first surgeon in the world. He was the first to do C-section, had over 300 surgical instruments, was the father of Plastic surgery, and an expert in Anesthesiology. In the era before and even after Christ, Ancient Indians knew that the earth was round. Arybhatta discovered that eclipses are caused by shadows of the sun and moon. Aryabhatta is only one name. There were many others dating back to 1000-2000 B.C.E. Ancient Indians invented the zero, decimal system, algebra, and trignometry.
Chanakya was only one name but other Indians in Ancient India were expert lawgivers too. Ancient Indians were the only ones to defeat the invading barbaric huns. The Huns destroyed Rome and other civilizations. I could go on and on but I don't wish to bore anyone.
I think many of us are still following the Brit view of history which was deliberately written to make Indians feel inferior so that they can rule India with no guilty conscience.
