Aryans & Dravidians!
  • > Krupa, the whole Aryan invasion theory, I'd assumed was fact all
    >this time. I don't give too much credit to the "sivappa irunda
    >Aryan, karuppa irunda Dravidian" theory.

You HAVE TO believe this "karuppu/sivappu" if you are going to
believe the Aryan invasion theory. We can't simply escape. Not only
that, we can have even more fun learing some facts. For example, the
interpretation is that Aryans were Devas and Dravidians were the so
called "Asuraas". Whatever that is described in Vedas, especially in
Rig veda, regarding deva-asura "yudhdham", is simply nothing but the
war between Aryans and Dravidians. They say that Rig Veda is nothing
but a mere "Events and facts recorded by Aryans in a poetic format".
And we are foolish enough to believe whatever we are being taught in
our school, whatever the English write about us, whatever foreigners
say about us. (mannichchukoppa maadhava... innikku naan ungalai
    maadiri paesa vaendiya nilamai).

    >I think proximity to the sun (of
    > where you live) does play a part in one's pigmentation/lack of it,
    > illaya? As to "Aryans-naa yaar, Dravidians-naa yaaru" I have always
    > believed in this rather simplistic answer: Dravidians were the
    group of
    > people living in the Indus valley region, and Aryans came over from
    the
    > west, northwest, to conquer them.

I wonder I will become "white/red" if I live in US even for 400
years... skin melanin is responsible for skin color, but can it
change the tissue formula matrix? If that would have been true, why
Blacks in US are still black? Should not have they become "white"
after all these years? It has something to do with their race. How
can "sunlight" play that much role in changing one's race?

    > Ippo nadakkira pore-ellam partha, I wonder what's the point to
    > everything? Why can't people get along with other people - let
    everyone
    > practice their own religion and live in peace. Why force anything
    on
    > anyone? Irukka porathu konja naal, athai happiya, ippadi ponniyin
    selvan
    > mathiri books padichittu irukkaama, ethukku sandai ellam?

Idha, idha, idha, idhaithaan naan yedir paarththane. Ha, ha, ha, ha,..

    > I think I'll shut up now and stop rambling.

    Same here :))

    Adhiga prasangi,

  • Dear AllI agree that the proximity to the sun doesnt actually affect the pigmentation there is a genetic make-up. One of my patients here spend 18 years in MP and Bihar as a teacher and he just mentioned at the end of the consultation You are from the dravidian stock right....I said Beg your pardon...You must be...and then went on to say that the dravidians were the ones in Indus valley before the fair skinned aryans came..and they migrated southwards....remnants of the original stock are seen in deep jungles of bihar bengal and MP and their language and rituals though still in hindiheartlands is more of tamil base?????/Truth DONNO One of my SHOs is from Lithuania and recites the RIG VEDA casually like a cinema song...I beleive its one of their traditional literary works...Adds up to the Aryan connection and they migrated from the caucasian mountains....Hitler was a staunch beleiver in Aryans. If you saw the Aryan Caste structure or Varna you had the Brahmins from Brahmas head or mouth...Kshakthriyas from his Shoulders...Baniyas from the trunk and Sutharas were from his feet...and there was yet another class you werent even part of the system......The Untouchables..... Was it a Aryan way of keeping the natives(Dravidians) out of their social system...and creating a social barrier.,....The relics of Indus valley have a negoid features..meaning round face thick lips fat nose....yet the sculptures of gupta period or mauryan have caucasian features oval face..long nose...etc So was there a change or confluence we may be evolutionary descendants of a mixture of the two races like the fair afrocaribians in the US Any thoughts Folks The other fact is off the track Muruga is traditionally said thamil kadavul yet the mauryas worshped and revered him the guptas did the same yet it is not a common deity in northern india now( Kumara Gupta..Skanda Gupta) Any Thoughts Sridhar....
