Having a wonderful vacation (this is the first time in 5 days I am even touching a comp) Anyway, visited Melkottai near Mysore yesterday. Was taken around the place by a gentleman who is a descendent of one of the 52 families who settled there with Ramanujachariar. Also visited the sanskrit research academy there where they are working on preserving and digitising ancient manuscripts. Also saw a couple of softwares that they have developed.. one for teaching Sanskrit and the other which is "Amarakosha".. a thesaurus. Quite an interesting trip overall.
